Troy Public Library hopes to inspire kids to read during the summer. Educational studies prove that summer reading is necessary to prevent a decline in reading achievement scores from spring to fall. The awesome collection at the library will surely have books read in record numbers.

June 27 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. 6-11 year olds only Jungle Adventures Rick Rakestraw from Gatlinburg, Tennessee will be here with animals from around the world.
June 20 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. 6-11 year olds only Dr. Magical Balloons Don’t miss out on this amazing show. Dewayne Reynolds will bring fun and laughter that includes lots of audience participation.
July 11 2:00-4:00 p.m. 6-11 year olds only Movie Day - Moana Everyone must have a signed permission slip from parent to see movie.
Story time for 4-5 Year Olds Children will be introduced to the delights of creativity through story time, crafts, and puppetry.

Top Readers Ages 4-18 Will be Invited to a Special Celebration On July 25, 2017
Reading logs are due By 5:30 p.m. July 18th You may turn logs in early.
Winners will be notified.
Prizes will be awarded according to total number of books read. 4-5 year olds may have books read to them. 6-11 year olds must read level appropriate books themselves.
There will be first, second, and third place prizes awarded to 4-5 year olds. First and second place prizes will be awarded to 6-11 year olds.
